Kings Commissioners: Police abandons Countryside to Criminals

A report of twelve Dutch Kings Commissioners states that in the Dutch countryside criminals can go unhindered about their business. There are no uniformed policemen in the public domain as there is no patrolling. There is a lack of detection capacity. The water police is so understaffed that they have no view on organized crime in the harbors. Ongoing police investigations are abandoned. The Ministry of Security and Justice did not want to comment on the commissioners "opinion.".
